Contest Winners!

Congratulations to the winners of the AN UNINVITED GHOST contest!

The $100 Barnes & Noble gift certificate went to Nicole Swenson.

Two second prizes, of autographed E.J. Copperman books, went to Diane Herr and Linda Kuzminczuk.

For the record, every entry had the right answer to the question (which indicates the question wasn't hard enough): Maxie wears TWO t-shirts with slogans in NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEED--one that bears the logo of the band AC/DC and one that reads, "What are YOU lookin' at?"

She wears more shirts in AN UNINVITED GHOST, so take note--you never know what the next contest's question will be!

Thanks to everyone who entered, and congratulations to the winners!

I'm at COZY CHICKS today!

Check out my guest post with the wonderful and talented Cozy Chicks today--I'm writing about research, and why it's nice, but not essential! http://www.cozychicksblog.com/

LAUNCH DAY!!!

It's here, everybody! AN UNINVITED GHOST was released today (after having strained at the bars of its cage) and is now available in bookstores (hopefully) everywhere! So if you're so inclined and have the chance, rush right out (or click in various places on the web)!

Also, someone named Jeff Cohen is being interviewed at Booklife and mentions my name a lot. It actually is a little irritating, but he seems like a nice enough guy.

And I'm guest blogging at The Crime Writers Chronicle today, so drop on by!

Happy Launch Day, everybody, but remember--there's no such thing as a free launch, so please get out there and get yourself (at least one) copy of AN UNINVITED GHOST!

LAUNCH WEEK!!!

That's right, it's Launch Week (or around here, Erev Launch Day!) for AN UNINVITED GHOST, the second Haunted Guesthouse Mystery. And that means the blog tour (ish) is about to begin:

Today, I'm the guest blogger at HEY, THERE'S A DEAD GUY IN THE LIVING ROOM, offering 10 Reasons NOT To Buy AN UNINVITED GHOST Tomorrow (don't worry, I also list 10 reasons why those reasons are wrong).

I'm also guest blogging today at Lesa's Book Critiques, talking about... um, book critiques. Reviews, how they're written and how authors receive them. Take a look!

Tomorrow is LAUNCH DAY! Start your engines--AN UNINVITED GHOST will be available at every possible bookselling outlet you can imagine! And I'll be guest blogging on my home state (and the setting for the Haunted Guesthouse series) in its ongoing search for a smidgen of respect at The Crime Writer's Chronicle!

On Thursday, it's a trip to Cozy Chicks for a look at research, and why I try to avoid it whenever possible.

There'll be more stops in the next couple of weeks, but frankly, I'm exhausted just thinking about it all. I'll get back to you.

Happy Launch Week, everybody!

My Pet Peeve (and it's a doozy!)

Today at the lovely and brilliant Lorna Barrett's Dazed and Confused, I get to sound off on a recent "news" item that shows just the kind of incisive thinking one can expect when discussing my home state: Insult my State -- You Insult Me! http://t.co/5J9dIXb

P.S. 5 days to enter the AN UNINVITED GHOST contest! Get your entry in today!

Web site update: CONTEST NEWS!

There's an update (not exactly a revamp) of my web site now up and viewable in time for the release of AN UNINVITED GHOST exactly four weeks from today (that'll be April 5, for those reading this after the day I post it)!

You'll find information about the second Haunted Guesthouse mystery, AN UNINVITED GHOST, including the first chapter free to read online! See what's up with Alison Kerby, her daughter Melissa, her resident ghosts Paul Harrison and Maxie Malone--and what they'll be investigating this time around!

Also: The information on the exciting AN UNINVITED GHOST contest is now available on the home page: Just click here! Be sure to enter for a chance at a $100 gift certificate to the bookstore of your choice!

Is that too many exclamation points? Be honest...
